[Shigeru] Miyamoto Brochure

Soooo...the bane of my existence has been a 12 page (the most I've ever done, by far) brochure on an inventor for a fake exhibit. The inventor had to be from 1900-present, so whoever invented books, sushi, paper, etc were out. I thought, what else interests me? I realized I liked video games a lot, though instead of doing who invented them, I did the creator (inventor...right?) of the most popular games, like Mario and Zelda...Shigeru Miyamoto!

The pages are going to be a little less than 8.5x5.5 (I'm going to trim them so they'll be full bleed).

Not sure why page 3 is coming up so much wider than the others...but I'm too lazy to fix that. All the pages will be the same size in the end.

This page will be folded, so when looked at next to page 4, it will appear regular sized. The two sides of the shield will meet up, and then you can unfold it to reveal the stuff inside. I'm not really happy with the right side though...I don't know what to put there (if anything)...

This will be the backside of the Zelda foldout (I like this side much better). The panel with Peach will be the side that is seen when it's folded down to the regular page size.

The last of the career pages. If you ignore the fold out, it transitions nicely from page 4.

So it's sort of text heavy...but I think it's readable and there's enough neat stuff to look at that your eyes wouldn't really get tired. Though my classmates might say there's a lot of text....but I'm going to test print it at work tomorrow also, to get a real view of how it looks. In the end, it's going to be spiral bound so it's like a little book.

So I'll take any suggestions (like Jon's: to add game icons from Zelda to that blank-looking page), but I'm definitely taking a break from working on this until after class Thursday. For a while I hate this project, and I don't want that to happen again. After this we still have to make a poster to accompany the event, so I don't want to get too sick of all this.

And as a completely unrelated note....LOOK WHERE MEL IS TAKING ME WHEN I VISIT TO GET FREE BOOKS!!!! If you couldn't tell...I'm pretty damn excited. I'm excited in general, just to be going down there. Just need to survive until October 7th!
