So Timmy and I went to the Framingham Garden in the Woods at the beginning of the month and it was really pretty! Neither of us have been there before, and it's a nice little walk around in the woods. Saw some flowers and some bugs. ^_^ As usual, I'll get prints of my flower photos..and maybe someday I'll try to sell some on Etsy again...or just give them to family members who are forced to love my art because I'm related to them ^_^
I really need to start getting to more places to photograph nature. Someday, if I'm dedicated enough, I'd love to get a digital SLR camera so that I could take real pro pictures and maybe actually make it a more serious hobby (and also earn something from it!)
Next is a little project I started...I saw some paper art in a magazine a couple months back, and of course the guy was doing much more amazing work than me. But I decided to give it a try. I cut some cardstock at work and I curl it into little circles and then glue it down. This first piece is just me experimenting with sizing...and seeing what sort of doodles I can create with 2D and 3D. I've got all sorts of ideas now, but they require planning and drawing out pictures first, then adding the circles.
I'll be honest, I just like to take micro shots of everything. If I had a great camera these would come out even better. But yeah, that's all in my world.
Well, I did do some designs for Lauren's baby shower invite, but nothing is finalized, so I'm not going to post those yet.
Headed to CT this weekend to do some arting with Mama. Hopefully I'll get inspired...well...motivated! I've got plenty of inspiration, I'm just not acting on it (still).
