So, I'm not sure if I ever updated about my internship (I am too lazy to go back and check), but I am a web design intern at JRA Design, a web design company in Worcester. So far I've just been writing content for sites, but last week I designed a banner ad for an attorney, and this week I set up a page sample for another client. He's supposed to look at it tomorrow...and then we'll make changes from there.
This is the first real webpage I've designed. Since I've been taking my website, I've done sample pages, but they've all been step-by-step following instructions. This one did give me some difficulties, but I consulted my old lessons and figured it out. (Note: The facebook and twitter icons aren't actually hanging out of the grey box like that. It's just that in order to get the screen capture of the whole page, I had to reduce the size in my browser and it made it look a little wonky. Also the main text isn't that close to the picture of the tablet.) Hopefully I will be in charge of the other changes as well and when (if) the site goes live I can post a link and show off my work!
Nothing fancy for the banner, but it was just needed to go on a site that lists lawyers and their services I guess. I'm not actually sure if it even got put up, but it was nice to do a little design work If I ever find out the site it's on (assuming it made it onto one) I will post that link here too.
Hopefully I will be posting more work over the next few weeks!
