October Books

So, thanks to the freak, hellish snow storm that ruined Halloween, we lost power for a couple of days. But it's back now (though half of the town is still out), and I'm elated.
Here's the books I read this month...

OCTOBER 2011

1. Happily Ever After by various authors

Quotes: “Everything has a spirit that’s so much bigger and brighter than you think it could hold.”

“I saw her chewing gum, when I was thirteen, and I fell for her like a suicide from a bridge.” (This made me laugh in a morbid way. Very unique.)

Read in: 12 days

Pages: 473

2. The Help by Kathryn Stockett (I LOVED this book)

Quote: “If I’d played Mammy, I’d of told Scarlett to stick those green draperies up her white little pooper. Make her own damn man-catching dress.” ;DDD

Read in: 7 days

Pages: 530

3. One Day by David Nicholls (LOVED this as well…SUPER sad though.)

Quote: “Sometimes, when it’s going badly, she wonders if what she believes to be a love of the written word is really just a fetish for stationery.” (This could apply to me…)

Read in: 5 days

Pages: 435

4. Heat Rises by Richard Castle

Read in: 4 days

5. The Big Over Easy by Jasper Fforde (I really recommend this if you like mysteries and nursery rhymes/fairy tales)

6. A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket
