Took a walk today.

Hello, little doggie friend.

Good-bye barking dog.

Oh, acrid smoke fills

my lungs and yours over and

over. Please quit now.

I, cellar dweller,

hiding away from the sun.

MTV owns me.

Snip, snip. Short hair now.

Summer breezes against my

neck. How to style it?

Forever I fold.

Endless piles of clothes all day.

Will it ever end?

Starting a new book.

A flutter of excitement.

Adventure awaits.

The thrill of a new

tattoo; the buzz of the drill,

and a flash of pain.

Rainy day shoppers

I don’t understand you. At

home I hide from rain.
