I designed the pages myself (not hard to put eight rectangles on a page, but still) and printed it and bound it at work. I figured using the recycled cardboard covers from the chipboard we have is like...semi-eco-friendly. Also they would be easier to decorate than a plasic cover and back.
Yeah, some of the pictures are sideways, but I'm too lazy to fix them.
I covered the front with drawings and some little bits from magazines. The inside front cover is the beginning of Alice in Wonderland. The inside back cover is a design I found in a magazine, and the outside of the back is scrapbook paper I bought at Michaels. Everything is covered in packing tape to keep it safe from the world (it doesn't quite look as smooth as I wanted, especially the inside of the back cover, but there's not much I could do).
Another little scrapbook I made was just from scrap paper. I'd used the sheets to separate books that needed to be coil punched, so since I had all these sheets that were punched, I just coiled them. The red is a bit abrasive on the eyes, but oh well. I haven't done too much in it...except traced my tree earrings for my tree page, fiddiling around with patterns and such.
These look great!
ReplyDeleteMaybe next time we visit (maybe the night before Hampton? or some othertime that doesn't involve sand) we can collage together, I have a roll of laminating stuff cause I've made a few collaged journals before, meant to sell them but I haven't put them on etsy yet... soon....
